YOUR OWN VOICE
Body-oriented voice-work inspired by Roy Hart
"The voice is the muscle of the soul." Roy Hart
The work on your own voice after Roy Hart is a sensitive work in a space of exploration and learning to trust. Therefor I hold the space and provide a non-judgemental listening to allow participants their own vocal experience.
The voice is a bridge between inner and outer world, which can be crossed from both sides. She includes everything that defines us as human beings and therefore always stays fascinating.
In my workshops I work with groups or individuals on
Roy Hart Singing Lessons
Individual Work on the voice in dialogue with me:
Exploring vocal colors, expression, the connection of voice and body and to inner images. The piano gives the reference.
Individual Work Improvisation
Starting from the momentary state, a theme, a wish, an image or text leading into "Voice-Journeys" - vocal explorations following the red thread of the voice intuitively.
Groupwork with shifting focus
- vocal Warm-up's
- raising sensitivity in listening ("Powerful Listening")
- explore the energetic possibilities of the voice in movement
- find the musicality in the colors of the own voice
- working on sounding together, giving support through listening
In these workshops
- I accompagny people to find their "manyfold voices". "What matters to you? What interests you?" is the central research.
- I like to work recource-oriented, that means I work with what I find and not on a specific virtuos vocal technique or a certain sound-esthetics. In this setting all sounds are equal. Listening and picking what is coming up, shows the way and often brings intersting surprises.
- I support people I work with, through talks, to help them developing their own awareness, terminology and competence related to their own voice.
This trainig strengtens awareness and sensitivity for one's own presence - in daily life and on stage.
